Nazar having another game makes it a fun watch despite the late night hour, but there’s no doubt that while the season is drawing to its conclusion, some Blackhawks fans are exhaling knowing that this is likely the bottom of the barrel when it comes to performance. The Blackhawks aren’t scoring goals at high clips and are positioned to have their worst offensive output in their entire history when playing a full 82-game season.

So as Connor Bedard looks to inch closer on the rookie list, a team challenged when it comes to putting the puck in the back of the net certainly seems a tall ask. But help will be on the way as the Blackhawks will be adding more of that young talent to the collection present on Sunday night.

It was quite the count seeing Landon Slaggert, Connor Bedard, Kevin Korchinski, Alex Vlasic, Lukas Reichel Frank Nazar, and Ethan Del Mastro all skating for the Hawks, a sure sign that progress is occurring both in development and with the big club.

So it’s another late watch being the next-to-last game where they’ll be closing things out once and for all on Thursday. Until then, what storyline will emerge from tonight? Can they break that four-game slide?

Stay tuned.
