Perry Nelson-USA TODAY Sports

Matt Boldy scored two goals, Filip Gustavsson made 41 saves and the visiting Minnesota Wild beat the Edmonton Oilers 4-2 on Friday night.

Jonas Brodin also scored for the Wild, who are 6-1-1 in their past eight games.

Leon Draisaitl had a goal and an assist for the Oilers, who are 4-4-1 after winning 16 straight. Calvin Pickard made 16 saves.

Connor McDavid picked up two assists to extend his home point streak to 21 games, matching his career high set in 2022-23.

Edmonton was 2-for-2 on the power play, Minnesota was 0-for-4.

Jonas Brodin gave the Wild a 2-1 lead at 9:31 of the third period, scoring on a slap shot from the left circle after a pass from Declan Chisholm. Boldy made it 3-1 at 12:18 when he took a drop pass from Ryan Hartman on the rush and scored from the slot.

Zach Hyman pulled the Oilers within 3-2 at 14:51, knocking in the rebound of Draisaitl's shot on a power play for his 35th goal of the season, but Mats Zuccarello scored into an empty net at 18:33 for the 4-2 final.

Joel Eriksson Ek appeared to give the Stars a 1-0 lead midway through the first period, but Edmonton challenged the goal and, after a video review, the play was ruled offsides.

Boldy did give the Stars a 1-0 lead at 19:37 of the first period. Jake Middleton entered the zone on a 3-on-2 and passed over to Boldy, who cut into the slot and beat Pickard with a low wrist shot.

Edmonton outshot Minnesota 13-6 in the second period and Draisaitl tied it 1-1 at 10:27 on a power play. McDavid got the puck in the high slot and delivered a spinning backhand past to Draisaitl, who scored on a one-timer from the bottom of the right circle.
