NHL bets: Two plays for Tuesday, Feb. 20

Our two hockey plays fell yesterday, but that's no reason to be discouraged. We're back today with some fresh looks on the ice, as a few home teams in particular should be able to get some goals going tonight.

To win 1u: Florida over 3.5 goals & Matthew Tkachuk point (-125 DraftKings)

I think this is a nice way to get Florida's team total to a more playable number, as I do not expect Ottawa to be able to shut down a high-powered offense for the second time in as many nights.

The Panthers have had the Senators' number the past few seasons, scoring 4+ goals in five of the last six meetings, including 12 goals in their past two matchups.

Joonas Korpisalo is expected in net tonight, sporting a .887 save percentage and allowing 3.41 goals per game. His most recent outings have been abysmal, allowing eight goals on just 42 shots against him.

We tack on Matthew Tkachuk's point here, as he has 21 points in his last 10 games and eight in his past six against ottawa.

1u: Rickard Rakell point (+105 DK)

I bet Rickard Rakell point on Sunday and it lost, but look at me, trusting a guy to deliver on a read I still believe in. The interest in Rakell is quite simple; he has taken Jake Guentzel's spot on Pittsburgh's top line and top power play, and that latter note may be even more of an interest here. The Islanders' penalty kill has been atrocious, killing penalties at just a 59.3% rate over the last month, second-worst in the league.

Rakell was extremely involved on the power play Sunday, logging five shots, and he should be involved both there and on 5v5 play tonight. New York is allowing nearly four goals per game on the road over the past 45 days, this is a nice chance for Pittsburgh to get going offensively.

For good measure, Rakell has five points in his past five against the Islanders.
