Al Duhail wrapping up deal for Villa midfielder Coutinho

Qatari side Al Duhail are now closing in on the capture of a Premier League superstar.

The Middle Eastern club are narrowing in on Philippe Coutinho of Aston Villa as a summer signing.

Per Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs are engaged in talks about Coutinho being released for this season.

Coutinho had been approached by Besiktas in Turkey and Real Betis in Spain.

However, he appears to have decided the Qatari league is where he wants to play.

The deal is a straight loan that ensures all his salary is covered by the Qatari side.
