Alexis Sanchez out of Lazio vs. Inter

Alexis Sanchez is the latest addition to the Inter absentee list, as a muscular problem rules him out of the Serie A clash with Lazio.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday at 19.45 GMT.

This is a big opportunity for the Nerazzurri to break out at the top of the table after Juventus were held to a 1-1 draw by Genoa last night.

However, Simone Inzaghi has a few squad issues to contend with and Alexis Sanchez is also ruled out with a muscular problem.

The Chile international joins Juan Cuadrado – who it’s reported could require surgery for that recurring Achilles tendon inflammation – Benjamin Pavard, Stefan de Vrij and Denzel Dumfries on the absentee list.

Alexis Sanchez scored two goals in six Champions League games, but is yet to find the net in Serie A so far in his five appearances this season.

He was in the starting XI for the 0-0 draw with Real Sociedad on Tuesday.
