Ilkay Gundogan has support inside the Barcelona dressing room after criticising teammates following their Champions League hammering by PSG.

Gundogan took aim after the elimination against PSG, singling out some of his teammates, although he did not name names. But that wasn't needed, because he was perfectly understood when referring to the error for the red card (Ronald Arajo), in the penalty (Joao Cancelo) and when defending Vitinha's goal (Robert Lewandowski).

AS is reporting the reaction of the squad has not been as forceful as when Gundogan hit out after the home defeat to Real Madrid earlier this season. In fact, many teammates have supported his words, thus confirming the wound that the defeat against PSG has opened in the locker room.

He has not been urged to rectify or qualify his statements, nor to justify himself in front of the locker room as he had to do after the Real Madrid meltdown.

For his part, the excuse that Gndogan's entourage uses to absolve him of any criticism is that it is his way of speaking, direct and openly, but that in no case has it ever been about denouncing or pointing out a teammate.
