Chelsea Sensation on PSG’s Radar to Bolster Their Defense

Paris Saint-Germain will be looking for a defender this summer and with Kylian Mbappé probably leaving the French giants, they’ll have money to spend to upgrade the backline. One of the new names that’s coming out is Chelsea’s Reece James.

Football Transfers reported on Monday that PSG contacted the English defender while he was visiting Saint-Tropez recently. The Ligue 1 champions are keen on the 24-year-old player, but the information provided indicates that it’s probable he’ll stay with Chelsea until at least the summer of 2025.

Moreover, James is deeply connected to his origins, which complicates the possibility of a move to PSG. He values his familial relationships greatly, making a relocation away from England unlikely. 

Reports consistently suggest that if James were to depart from Chelsea, he would prioritize joining a club within England. The Blues star who plays right back can also play center-back, but it’s unlikely that they won’t pursue James unless Achraf Hakimi leaves.
