DFB managing director Rettig ponders Klopp option for Germany

DFB managing director Andreas Rettig has cast doubt on ever hiring Jurgen Klinsmann as Germany coach.

The Liverpool manager will leave Anfield at the end of the season.

Klopp has long been linked with Germany job, but Rettig told ZDF: "If Jrgen Klopp is interested in the job of national coach in the future, then..."

And he answered after some hesitation: "... we would have to see how we can do it without problems."

The current national coach Julian Nagelsmann only has a contract until after the European Championships this year.
