Antonio Cassano believes that Inter Milan want to bring back Alexis Sanchez, but could even make a surprise return for Folarin Balogun.

Speaking on Christian Vieri’s Twitch channel, via FCInter1908, the former forwad related his understanding of the Nerazzurri’s transfer plans in attack for the remainder of the summer transfer window.

Whilst there is only a week or so left in the transfer window and Inter have already done plenty of business, Inter still have one more item on their agenda.

Reportedly, the Nerazzurri want to change things up a bit in attack.

Inter have already seen some comings and goings in attack.

Edin Dzeko and Romelu Lukaku have headed for the exit door. And Marcus Thuram and Marko Arnautovic have replaced them.

However, there may be one more change in attack.

Cassano Believes Inter Want Alexis Sanchez – But Could Even Move For Folarin Balogun

One player who does not have a place in Inter’s plans next season is forward Correa.

The former Lazio man has never had the easiest time in a Nerazzurri shirt. Injuries have played a role in disrupting his momentum, whilst his form has been erratic.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri would reportedly like to find a new club for Correa before the transfer window closes.

Inter have been attempting to do so without success for much of the summer.

But as the Nerazzurri open up to loan offers for the Argentine, some new interest appears to be emerging.

And according to Cassano, Inter have a couple of ideas in mind for how they would like to replace Correa.

“They want to sign Sanchez on a free transfer,” he said of Inter’s plans. “They have him in hand.”

“But then some rumours suggest they’re also thinking of a surprise signing in attack,” Cassano continued. “They haven’t given up on Balogun.”

“But if Zhang doesn’t open up his wallet then it won’t happen,” he continued.

Cassano predicted that “If Correa leaves, they could make an effort. He doesn’t want to leave, he has no offers – they’re pushing for him to go to Saudi Arabia but that’s not what he wants.”
