Former Inter Milan midfielder David Pizarro believes that Alexis Sanchez mad his choice in returning to the Nerazzurri.

Speaking to journalists, via FCInterNews, the Chilean responded to his compatriot Arturo Vidal’s controversial recent remarks regarding Sanchez’s playing time.

Former Inter, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal recently made his views on his Chilean national teammate Sanchez’s situation at Inter very clear.

The veteran midfielder argued that Sanchez should never have joined Inter.

He even claimed that he had told his friend and national teammate that he shouldn’t have made the move.

The reason for this is that Vidal does not feel that Sanchez receives enough playing time at Inter.

He feels that a player of the 34-year-old’s ability should not only have a relatively minor role in a team as a backup forward, which is the case with Sanchez at Inter.

David Pizarro Responds To Arturo Vidal Statements About Alexis Sanchez

Former Inter, Roma, and Fiorentina midfielder Pizarro gave his own view of Sanchez’s situation at the Nerazzurri.

“In my opinion he made the choice he did, partly because Inter waited for him until the end of the transfer window,” the former midfielder said.

“If he has to change or make a different decision, I think he should wait until the end of the current season.”

Pizarro argued that “Doing so right now wouldn’t be good for him. Or for the Chilean national team.”

“We care a lot about the performances of La Roja,” he continued.

Pizarro said that “The advice I can give him is to stay until the end of the season>

“And then he can decide where he wants to go.”

And Pizarro also gave his thoughts on the Serie A title race. He backed his former team.

“It’s certainly the case that Inter and Juventus are leading the charge,” he said. “But in my view, Inter are much, much stronger.”
