Manchester United legend Andy Cole has urged the club to secure the services of French striker Karim Benzema from Al-Ittihad in the current winter transfer window. Cole has asked the club to acquire the veteran forward in order to address the Red Devils’ attacking issues. Manchester United have been grappling with a lot of goal-scoring issues.

Scoring 24 goals this season, the Red Devils are among the team with the least number of goals. Forwards like Hojlund, Garnacho, Rashford and Martial have struggled to score goals, as the club seems in the dire need of an experienced goal-scoring center-forward. The club is rumored to be interested in Karim Benzema, who is reportedly unhappy in Saudi Arabia after joining Al-Ittihad from Real Madrid last summer.

Ex-United forward Andy Cole has strongly recommended the club to sign the veteran Frenchman, even if he only participates in the club’s training sessions. Cole has stressed that the former Lyon striker, who has scored a total of 450 goals in his club football career, has the goal-scoring prowess to address United’s issues. Speaking to Betfred, he said that the Benzema’s rising age of 36 is not a concern, given his impressive track record. Moreover, he urged the club to explore a short-term loan deal for the Al-Ittihad player.

150 percent. I would sign him if it was only for a training session. Could he do it in the Premier League at his age? 100 percent considering the way he looks after himself. If Manchester United have the opportunity to sign him, then they should definitely try and make that happen. Andy Cole said, as reported by Daily Mail.

Manchester United are also exploring other additional options at the front. Bayern Munich forward Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting is also being monitored by the club.

Arsenal could set their sights upon RB Leipzig youngster Benjamin Sesko, expected to miss out on Karim Benzama

Recent reports suggest that Arsenal have opted to target Slovenian international Benjamin Sesko, instead of former Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema. The Gunners seem to be heavily interested in the young RB Leipzig striker, and could be set to battle it out for his signature this summer.

The Gunners are seeking a replacement for Gabriel Jesus , who has not been in the best of his form, scoring seven goals in 22 appearances. Sesko has has become an essential part of the German side, scoring seven goals in 24 matches. The Slovenian international only joined the East German club last summer in a £21 million move from Austrian club RB Salzburg, where he produced 40 goal involvements in just 79 games. Football pundits have suggested the Gunners to sign Sesko over Benzema, as it would be a wiser decision for them to make, keeping in mind the future.
