AC Milan do hold an interest in signing Arda Guler from Real Madrid this summer but the Rossoneri do not want to use a similar style of deal to the one that saw Brahim Diaz spend three years at the club.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), the Rossoneri are still keen on bringing the Turkish attacker to the club at some stage but only on their own terms.

Milan had Brahim Diaz at the club for three seasons and he proved to be a very important player, but it was essentially a three-year loan deal and then Milan had to let him return to the Spanish capital, leaving a gap in the squad.

If Milan were to take Guler, who has featured very fleetingly for Real Madrid this season, then they would want an option to purchase him at the end of any loan deal.

The issue is that the redemption fee would almost certainly be much higher than the €22m that Real Madrid wanted for Milan to get Brahim on a permanent deal last summer.

Guler’s lack of minutes has been down to a serious injury that he suffered shortly after arriving in Spain, and then the established set of attackers that Carlo Ancelotti ended up trusting whilst Guler was recovering.
