Burnley striker Jay Rodriguez says they owe their fans a big performance at Everton tonight.

The Clarets go to Goodison Park for the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

Rodriguez told the club's website: It's a massive thing for us to have support like that every week. I think we have sold-out the tickets at every away game this season and it's phenomenal.

We want to give them a result to be proud of on Wednesday and send them home happy. We know it won't be an easy game but it's one we want to come away happy from."

Rodriguez added: It's going to be a tough game, we know that. It's always tough going to Goodison Park and they're coming into it off the back of a win so they're confidence will be high.

Cup games are always special though, it's the type of games you want to play. Full house, sold-out away end and a lively atmosphere.

It's a good chance for all the squad to be involved in and others to get a chance. Hopefully we can get a result and put a performance in to get through to the next round.."
