Tottenham have ‘particularly focused’ on 28-yr-old for January, €30m-plus offer would get deal done

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing the Roma midfielder Bryan Cristante.

The 28-year-old defensive midfielder has established himself as a key player for the Italian club and he could prove to be a superb acquisition for the Londoners.

A report from IlRomanista claims that Tottenham have ‘particularly focused’ on the 28-year-old midfielder ahead of the January transfer window and an offer of above €30 million could get the deal done.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been linked with a move away from the club in recent months and Cristante would be a quality replacement for him.

The 28-year-old is at the peak of his powers and he will be excited about the prospect of playing in the Premier League. He will want to test himself at the highest level and a move to England could be quite tempting for him.

The report claims that the player could be attracted to the idea of joining the north London club as well especially because he is likely to get a more lucrative contract from them compared to the one at Roma.

Cristante has the physicality and technical attributes to succeed in English football and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham can get the deal done. Signing him for €30 million would represent an excellent value for money transfer for the north London club.

He will add defensive cover, control and presence in the middle of the park. His arrival would also allow Tottenham to rotate key players like Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Bissouma during the second half of the campaign.

Tottenham need to bring in the right additions in order to finish the season strongly and secure Champions League qualification.
