With only seven Ligue 1 matches left to play, Inter are praying for a miracle from Olympique Marseille ahead of the summer.

Les Olympiens find themselves in a difficult spot in the business end of the season, sitting 10 points behind third place Monaco with just seven league games left to play, leaving them with a mountain to climb if they want to secure a spot in the Champions League.

Inter sent Joaquin Correa to Marseille last summer on a season-long loan deal with a €10m conditional obligation to buy clause attached. He’s failed to show much of note this term, not directly contributing to a goal in 563 minutes of action across 15 matches.

Inter hopeful for Marseille

TMW highlights how Marseille will have to pay Inter €10m to sign Correa should they qualify for the Champions League, giving the Nerazzurri a reason to cheer for their French counterparts over the next two months, even if the odds are stacked against them.

Correa is still contracted to the Nerazzurri to June 2025, so the club will have to find a new home for him in the summer should Les Olympiens fail to pull off the impossible.
