Declan McMahon, son of Shane McMahon and grandson of Vince McMahon, continues to flirt with the prospect of a future in pro wrestling.

Declan, a running back for the Indiana University football team, attended the recent WWE Fastlane premium live event from Indianapolis. He's laser focused on football, but says he was 'born into' the business would never rule out becoming a pro wrestler.

He also posted the following on Instagram, with the caption, "Born for this "

The Developmentally Speaking podcast has published a new interview with #37, who revealed when he fully grasped the magnitude of his family's business.

He watched wrestling on television as a child and knew it was a family business, but things really hit him at WrestleMania 32 back in 2016. He and his brother Kenyan were part of their father Shane's ring entrance that night, ahead of Shane's Hell in a Cell match against The Undertaker. When he stepped out in front of '100,000 people' and heard the roar of the crowd, he understood why wrestling is such an incredible form of entertainment.

Future WWE Superstar?

When asked which McMahon family grandchild would be best suited to join WWE, Declan replied, “Oh, probably me. I mean, the story, the story’s already written, right? I mean, the rightful heir, the good-looking — the one who looks like Vince, right?"

He referenced the video package that opened WrestleMania 20, which marked his WWE television debut at just a one month old.

"So, I think, just in the sense that you could play off WrestleMania 20, right? You could play that off and just show that like, the new generation o McMahon has arrived. I think in that sense, I would [be the best suited, of the McMahon grandchildren.]

Declan added that the entire McMahon family is close and supportive of one another, so any of them would be successful in wrestling if they pursued it. However, there's one family member he thinks might also be interested:

"You know, I know Aurora, [Triple H and Stephanie's] oldest daughter, she’s always talked about wanting to do it, but in having my dad and my grandpa’s ego, I think I’d be the best.”
