The very manly tag team of The Vaudevillains will be reuniting on the independent scene, six years after their most recent match.

On Twitter, Simon Gotch confirmed that he and Matt Rehwoldt (Aiden English in WWE) will be taking bookings again for the first time in years. Gotch also encouraged those interested in booking the team to not waste time in reaching out.

The Vaudevillains

Gotch and Rehwoldt began teaming in WWE as part of NXT in 2014 as heels but would prove so popular that they would become faces. At the inaugural NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn event in 2015, the pair captured the NXT Tag Team Championships and would hold the gold for 62 days before losing to the Revival.

Called up to the main roster in 2016, the Vaudevillains returned to being heels, and would be part of a match against Enzo Amore & Big Cass at Payback 2016 that would be ruled a no-contest when Amore suffered a concussion.

In that July's WWE brand extension, the Vaudevillains would be drafted to SmackDown but would find little success on the brand. The duo would be eliminated in the first round of the tournament to crown the first SmackDown Tag Team Champions, and would fail to qualify for Team SmackDown for that year's Tag Team Survivor Series elimination match.

In 2017, the Vaudevillains would continue to team on SmackDown and would both compete in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. Neither man would win the match and this would mark their final match together before Gotch's release from WWE on April 5.
