Gage Goldberg will be talking his talents to Colorado. The son of entertainment legend, Bill Goldberg, announced he would be Boulder bound on X (Formerly Twitter) on Sunday morning.

"After a great conversation, I am honored to announce that I am committing to the University of Colorado to continue my football and academic career," Goldberg wrote.

The 6-foot, 205-pound middle linebacker from Boerne Champion (Texas) is the seventh addition to CU's 2024 recruiting class. He's another two-sport athlete, excelling in football and baseball. Goldberg was an absolute force during his senior year with 154 total tackles (7.5 for loss), eight hurries, four forced fumble, one sack, blocked field goal, and forced safety. He's excited to play for Coach Prime, who was a teammate of his father's with the Atlanta Falcons starting in the early 90s.

"The main draw was that Colorado has an amazing coaching staff and obviously a great head coach that will help me excel in every way to become a better football player, and eventually to get me to the next level," Goldberg told BuffsBeat.

Goldberg leaned on his father for guidance during the recruiting process. It is a much different experience from the one the WWE Hall of Famer had in the late 80s when he committed to Georgia, but one they've navigated through together. He turned down other offers, including one from Alabama to be at CU.

"My dad's advice was go to the program that stands out to you the most and the one you know that you will love. I already know at this moment that I will love Colorado and it will also be great to be learning from one of my dad’s best friends ever."

Goldberg becomes the 29th player to commit to Colorado's 2024 combined class, which is ranked 21st overall, according to 247Sports. He's also the 12th addition to the Buffaloes defense on the books for next year.
