After being laid out by The Elite, Kenny Omega has an announcement to make.

AEW is hyping that Omega will be making an "important announcement" on Dynamite this Wednesday. The episode is being held at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Omega returned to AEW programming on last week's Dynamite from his hometown of Winnipeg. It was his first appearance since being forced out of action in December 2023 due to diverticulitis. Omega still needs to undergo surgery for the issue.

The return of Omega to AEW television came one week after Tony Khan was attacked by The Elite. In storyline, Khan is currently unable to travel after that attack. Omega said that, as long as he has an executive vice president title, he has power in AEW and can stand up to fellow EVPs The Young Bucks.

The Elite then confronted Omega. The angle saw him laid out with an EVP Trigger by The Young Bucks. FTR then made the save and ran The Elite off. Omega was stretchered out, but The Elite did further damage by dumping over the stretcher he was on.

While he was away from AEW television, Omega was "fired" from The Elite and replaced by Kazuchika Okada. Jack Perry has also been added to the group.

Omega and Okada interacted on Dynamite last week with Omega challenging Okada to renew their rivalry and face him when Omega's cleared to compete in a couple of months.

Here's the updated lineup for this Wednesday's Dynamite:
