Paul Heyman Is The First Member Of WWE’s 2024 Hall Of Fame Class

In what is perhaps a perfect call, Paul Heyman is the first member of WWE’s 2024 Hall of Fame class.

The 2024 Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for immediately after SmackDown, ahead of WrestleMania 40, night one.

Heyman is undoubtedly the headliner, and an exceptional one at that.

Putting him in this class, this year is just…extremely perfect.

There would only likely be one better setting for a Heyman induction-back in New York City.

Heyman is, of course, from New York.

But without knowing when WrestleMania might next hit the Big Apple…having Heyman inducted in the birthplace of Extreme Championship Wrestling is fitting.

ECW is a brand I know quite well-and I am speaking of the company first known as Eastern Championship Wrestling.

At the corner of Swanson and Ritner, not all that far from the South Philadelphia Sports Complex, is the most famous bingo hall in the world.

And the man responsible for putting that bingo hall on the map is going to get inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Considering how much he and his talent hated on WWE and WCW way back when, it is quite the achievement for Heyman.

The big remaining question, as of this writing, may be who inducts him.

Could we see an extreme WWE Hall of Famer do the honors? Mick Foley or Bubba Dudley would be good choices.

One of the easiest choices is now toxic to the company, so we won’t be seeing Lesnar doing the honors.

Heck, if his health permitted, even someone like Jerry Lawler would be worthy.

One thing is for sure. Heyman has the gift of gab, and he might deliver one of the best induction speeches of all time.
