Triple H responds to London mayor's quest to bring Wrestlemania to UK

London's mayor, Sadiq Khan, is currently on the election trail.

On Thursday, he posted on X that he would help bring multiple major sporting events to the city if re-elected.

He cited WrestleMania, the Super Bowl and NBA London as three potential events.

It didn't take Paul "Triple H" Levesque long to see Khan's comment. He responded in two words: "Let's talk."

WrestleMania is the biggest wrestling event in the world. It draws enormous crowds every year and generates insane amounts of social media impressions. Most of all, every event goes down in history due to the storylines, the twists and turns and the incredible feats of athleticism.

Triple H is smart. He will know that the UK is a wrestling-starved country. Outside AEW's All-In, fans are treated to several house shows yearly. If the WWE can find a way to run their flagship event in London, they're highly likely to explore the possibility.

Wembley Stadium has a roof, which removes the concern about being an open-air stadium, which was discussed after this year's WrestleMania in Philadelphia. The stadium also holds 90,000 people, which would potentially set a world record for attendance at a wrestling event.

If WWE sells out Wembley, it would be a blow to AEW, which set the record in 2023 with 81,035 tickets sold. Given the current surge WWE is experiencing and their rabid international fanbase, they would easily pack out England's largest arena. They would have no issues doing it for both days of WrestleMania weekend.

Of course, Khan would need to get re-elected for this conversation to take place. It may be multiple years until we see WrestleMania in London, but it's clear the city has the infrastructure and the fanbase to make it a memorable weekend and a giant success from an economic and business standpoint.
