Watch: The Rock has an exciting message for WWE fans

The Rock made his return to WWE at RAW Day One on Jan. 1. "The Great One" cut a promo segment with former WWE champion Jinder Mahal. During the segment, he also referenced Roman Reigns. Right now, there's no telling if The Rock's return was a cameo to boost ratings for a major episode of RAW or whether he's planning on sticking around the company in the coming months.

However, on Wednesday, The Rock posted a video to his Instagram with an exciting message.

These ‘electrifying’ nights are so special and unforgettable," The Rock wrote in his caption. "The connection with the people, the energy, vibe, authenticity, disruption, love, mana — the CHILLS. And now we make history, raise the bar and do things that have never been done before in @wwe. We go all out. And all in."

The video within the post showed The Rock meeting up with Cody Rhodes and Becky Lynch backstage. It also featured a montage of his return in San Diego and featured him talking about how much he enjoys returning.

Since referencing "The head of the table" during his promo segment, rumors have been swirling about a potential WrestleMania bout against Reigns. Yet, those rumors are purely speculative and are entirely driven by the fan base. However, under Paul "Triple H" Levesque, WWE has been listening to their fans more and more. If there's a belief The Rock vs. Reigns would draw huge ratings, conversations surrounding a match will almost certainly take place.

What's more exciting, though, is how The Rock referenced taking WWE to new heights. The wording reads like he could potentially be gearing up for a stretch with the company. Pairing his return with that of CM Punk would pull back countless casual fans who have fond memories of both stars' runs within the company.

WWE is in a great place right now. The potential return of a true legend would be perfect touch to start the year strong.
