Appalachian State fans had something to celebrate the evening of the national championship. Former quarterback Armanti Edwards was announced as a member of the College Football Hall of Fame Class of 2024 on Monday afternoon.
The Appalachian State football program will retire the jersey of one of their all-time greats this Saturday. Former Mountaineer quarterback Armanti Edwards will be honored in Boone when his alma mater face longtime rival Georgia Southern.
Appalachian State announced that it will retire Armanti Edwards' No. 14 jersey this fall. The ceremony will occur during halftime of the Appalachian State-Georgia Southern game on Nov. 25.
